its sad i know but ive grown up with them and i really really really like their mishmash of styles!
and interesting fact of the day - i named myself after them! ahahahahah oh god.
here's the story.
so i'm four, albeit a precocious four year old for i already know that going through life with a non-caucasian name is an unnecessary burden.
enter my favourite show at the time FULL HOUSE. remember that show? about the dad and the 3 sisters DJ, Stephanie and Michelle Tanner? omgod i LOVED that show!
so i think to myself - i'm going to pick myself a name from the show! and actually i was tossing up between Stephanie and Michelle (god i have such a good memory of when i was young!)
but somehow i ended up choosing Michelle - and i haven't regretted since :)
especially considering the number of stephs i know- its RIDICULOUS!
and on another interesting note, my chinese name sounds relatively like "Michelle" anyway so WHAT A SMART FOUR YEAR OLD I WAS.

oh yeh - so although they grew up to be alien looking midgets, i really love their style and their fashion lines.
at the risk of being a pretentious wannabe fashion blogger - i present to you their Elizabeth and James line.

ReplyDeleteon a much brighter note, HELLO MESHELLE LAW! I think all girls have a slight fascination with the Olsens though I guess you can't say the same thing about everyone naming themselves after them so... a toned down sort of love in comparison HAHAHA And I reckon the bulemia look (re: matt) is what makes them so pretty! The fact that everything's so baggy on them and they look so delicate! Personally don't really like the gladiators- if anything I'd wear the platforms (a pair of which I tried on the other day, god damn my calf looked 100 times thinner in the mirror... which did not translate to real life... and the shoes themselves looked pretty gross but MY CALVES.in.the.mirror. OMG. hahahahaha)
Also I think I should just prop myself on the fact that YES. I already knew this. (jumps up and down in the corner) Awesome :).
